These two new tracks have taken a little longer to record than usual for a couple of reasons. Mostly because the space I usually record in has been out of action for a few months after the roof sprung a leak in the winter! After finally being happy with the recording process and sound of the Volition EP I had to completely change my setup to get these done. Instead of amps and pedals the guitars are all tracked using the Soldano SLO-100 plugin from Neural DSP. Not only were the guitars a breeze to record this time around, but the mix came together in a really satisfying way. So much so that I decided to do a remaster of 2 of my older tracks so they sound closer to my original intentions.

When I think about how fun this was to put together, I may honestly not go back to real guitar amps for this project anytime soon.
